Progress

This week in Independent Study and Mentorship, I have been actively meeting with professionals and figuring out the best way to attack my Final Product. I must make sure to complete it correctly now so that there will be a limited amount of complications for the future. I have decided to continue to add to the hotel section and broaden my knowledge of the industry. It is essential for me to gain a strong base in one industry before I dive into the next one. Through speaking with others, I have learned of some more sections that needed to be added to the hotel industry part of the powerpoint. Ideas were to add broker types, an example of a broker transaction, identification of markets (occupancy, average daily rate, revenue per available room, growth, etc.), financial engineering and unique factors. As I progress through my Final Product, I will encounter more things I should include in the hotel industry and I will add them as I go. The entire point of my product is as a learning experience for me and as a reference guide for the future. I must make sure to cover the most important topics and get into some detail without overloading myself.
