Future Preparation

This week, I have met with the founder of The Gent's Place (a men's grooming and lifestyle club). Throughout our interview, he explained his journey to being at the position he is at right now. It truly reassured the fact that the way to success is through genuine passion and the drive to execute one's ideas/thoughts. He started his company through seeing an issue and wanting to fix it. In the past, he disliked getting his haircut and dreaded it. Therefore, he came up with an idea to revolutionize the haircut experience which has proved to be very effective to date. In the future, I aim to start my own company whether it be by finding real estate and putting buildings on it or becoming a franchisee. This will allow me to grow as a person and reach my goals.

Also on January 29th, I started a new position at NewcrestImage on the Development Team. I want to learn as much as possible before I get to college, and I believe that development could be the path for me. I would learn the ins and outs of finding a site, contacting brands, etc., which would help prepare me for the future. Getting a head start and learning about development in high school will be a true game changer for me. For the rest of the school year, I plan on working in development and adding to my Opportunity Book (Final Product).
