This week, I went to Cornell in Ithaca, New York. My main purpose in going there was to see my sister and think about whether the school would be a potential fit for me. By being the number one hospitality school in the entire world, I could see a future there. Cornell's School of Hotel Administration is a business school through the lens of hospitality which includes real estate, entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, and more. Even though acceptance into the school will be very challenging, from one visit there, I feel enlightened. I am able to see the endless possibilities my future entails and the many pathways I can embark on in order to obtain stability within my life. Everyone at the school is broad-minded and it truly expanded my knowledge and way in which I believe I should carry myself.

Through listening to the President and Chief Executive Office of The Venetian, I saw the importance of taking risks and opportunities to further my knowledge. Although I may not find some things important to my overall success, I will see the benefits in the future and it always helps to have a strong background in a variety of topics. The speaker stressed how it is important to never give up, and I will carry out the messages he has conveyed through my daily life.
