This week in Independent Study and Mentorship, I opened new doors and listened to very influential individuals about entrepreneurship. Through meeting with the CEO of Caliber Collision, I was able to see how one man's vision can completely turn a failing company into a successful one. The CEO conveyed to me that it takes risks and a detailed plan in order to accomplish one's goals. There will always be barriers in the way but how prepared I am for the barriers depends entirely on me. Sometimes, it takes giving up one idea and moving onto the next best opportunity and putting full effort towards that. For the rest of the year, I will focus on expanding my knowledge in business as a whole and continue to interview as many individuals as possible so I can learn from everything they have to share. I need to also research more about my Original Work idea and make it come to fruition. Learning about franchising and setting up a plan for it will be very beneficial in the future as that is a potential route I may take. I need to set up some interviews with franchisers to hear all about the ups and downs pertaining to them.
