Business Symposium

This week in Independent Study and Mentorship, we had the Business Symposium. That is where ISM students go to one high school and do activities such as interviews, networking (with professionals and one another), listen to alumni, hear a speech, and more. Through this experience, my eyes were opened to another whole world of opportunities within ISM. The alumni had spoken and said how ISM has completely changed their life and increased their opportunities in everything they have done so far in life. They said to never waste time in ISM and put every second to the best of use. I must do this because this is my chance to truly go out there and learn as much as possible. I need to make sure to suck in knowledge like no other and go on as many interviews as possible. Furthermore, my speaking skills have been greatly refined through interviews with professionals and networking. I feel as if I could now go up to anyone and start a conversation with them. However, I need to actually put this ability to use and meet new people any chance I get. I will never know how important they could be until I talk to them. ISM has changed me to become more confident and knowledgable about a variety of topics that will serve to benefit myself in the future.
