Mentor Visits & Interviews

This week in Independent Study and Mentorship, I have met with my mentor, Joshua Meek, and caught up with him after such as long period of time. It was great to see how we had both progressed throughout summer, and there are no words to describe the amount of excitement I have to finally begin meeting with him again. He told me about getting into the stock market which is on the rise and the importance of putting some savings aside to grow them. I need to study the market and learn as much as I can because I know that it could be a vital option for my future. By doing this, I will also gain knowledge about businesses and how they are structured. I can take some knowledge I gain and put it into my own business in the future.

Furthermore, Mr. Meek and I discussed potentially having a second mentor this year. I want to use the time I have to further myself and I believed two mentors was the way to go. I would get two different perspectives and it will truly help me advance my understanding of entrepreneurship. I will be going on more interviews to pick at professionals brains and ask how they got to be in their position. If I am going to be successful, I will need to stay on top of the game and use my time in the most efficient ways possible.
